Toronto’s One Yonge is a mixed-use complex comprising of six skyscrapers, including what will become Canada’s tallest residential tower. The lower commercial levels feature an intricate façade system of 3 mm engineered aluminum plate soffits and fascias, including sloping, and curved corners that integrate with a window wall system and tilted louvers—creating a complex installation challenge.

Echometrics was contracted to perform a comprehensive 3D laser scan of the existing structure and generate precise as-built CAD drawings. These drawings accurately captured critical façade details including sub-framing, staggered louver faces, and window caps. By utilizing Echometrics’ verified CAD data and reports, the installer-fabricator was able to model and draft panels directly onto the as-built structure, ensuring seamless fabrication, on-schedule installation, and zero rework.
