The Ontario Place Cinesphere is known for its spherical form and iconic aluminum-clad exterior, a defining landmark of Toronto’s waterfront. During its restoration, Echometrics was consulted to 3D scan the building and model a new façade designed to fit precisely within the existing structural framework.
 

Echometrics performed a comprehensive 3D scan of the existing structure, capturing its complex geometry with high accuracy. Using this data, Echometric’s specialized team modeled and designed replacement architectural panels engineered to integrate seamlessly with the existing steel frame. The aluminum cladding, pressure plates, caps, and vertical mullion framing were modeled to align perfectly with the existing steel and aluminum alloy tube structure—ensuring accurate fabrication and flawless installation.
